Johnny is featured in this fridge magnet. He is a cat with very special needs as he is blind (he can only see shadows) and deaf so he relies on his whiskers and sense of smell for any sensory intake. He also needs outdoor space. A previous rescue couldn't cater for all his needs but with generous donations from our supporters we have been able to provide him with a special enclosure at Shropshire Cat Rescue where he is safe but still has a stimulating environment. He has a snug insulated den designed to look like a castle, scratch posts, tunnels, climbing platforms, cat friendly plants and lots of interaction from the volunteers including daily walks around the shelter on a harness. This picture was taken whilst he was out on one of his walks, modelling his new Christmas Santa Paws harness. The lead from his harness was edited out of the photograph.
The wording is a cat's version of the well known Christmas song "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" best known as performed by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
