volunteering

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities available at the shelter, at fundraising events and also at our charity shop. The gift of your time is very precious to us (and the cats of course!)

find your perfect volunteering role

shop volunteers

Our charity shop in the centre of Shrewsbury is a wonderful place to volunteer.

Whether you want to regain your confidence, build your CV, or meet new people, we have the role for you.

Grey Cat

shelter volunteers

This is by far the most popular volunteering role we have - which isn’t surprising as it means you can directly help out with our feline residents.

We always need volunteers to help with feeding, cleaning out, grooming, entertaining and providing plenty of cuddles.

Office administration

The smooth running the charity takes a full team to deliver, if you have office administration experience from answering the phone, receiving visitors, keeping the diary up to date, getting involved with the upkeep of our social media and digital channels then we'd love you to support our admin work

Volunteer Doing Paperwork

office, event & fundraising volunteers

Do you have fundraising or event experience? Helping to raise vital funds requires a massive team effort, so if you could volunteer your time to help us fundraise, plan and co-ordinate events we would love to hear from you.

driving volunteers

Whether it is moving stock to our shop in Shrewsbury, taking our cats for their vet appointments, transporting cats to their new forever homes, or collecting new residents, there is always lots of driving volunteer work available.

Volunteer Armed Forces Community Engagement Officer

As Volunteer Armed Forces Community Engagement Officer, you will develop relationships with the local Armed Forces community to raise awareness of our Charity's work.

Experience of the Armed Forces, either as a Serving or family member, is required.
