We recently decided to decorate the cottages in the Retirement Village with colourful backdrops and decided they'd enhance the pictures of our cats at Shropshire Cat Rescue. This fridge magnet shows our pirate ship backdrop but Pip is the real star of this picture. He is a Retirement Village resident living in our shelter at Shropshire Cat Rescue. Unfortunately towards the end of 2023 he developed a problem with his right eye. As it didn't respond to medication it had to be removed. He coped really well with the operation and was a model patient, not even needing a buster collar to prevent him from scratching at his stitches. He also adjusted very quickly to the altered view of his world. We had already created a fridge magnet celebrating his excellent recovery, entitled "Pirate Pip" and this picture has made a perfect addition to the backdrop of a pirate ship.
