Teddy is a beautiful 1 year old Persian cat who sadly found his way to us when circumstances in his previous home meant he couldn't stay.

Upon arrival, Teddy found shelter life overwhelming and has really struggled to settle down with the constant coming and goings of different daily volunteers. He has ultimately shut down and we would love for him to find the perfect understanding home as soon as possible.

Currently, Teddy does not initiate human contact and will often retreat to the safety of his den that our volunteers have created for him. He does enjoy playing though and loves a good stick toy!

He is looking for a home with a few important characteristics;

​

• No children or other pets,

• A quiet, predictable and consistent home, 

• Ideally an enclosed garden/catio where he can have some outdoor time,

• Understanding owner(s) with the time and patience to allow Teddy to regain his lost confidence.

We are looking for the right adopter who is happy to take this young man in as he is. He may one day be confident enough to be your best friend, but he also may spend his life enjoying the peace and quiet without having to worry about forced affection.

Whoever is Teddy is lucky enough to find a home with, will receive help and advice from our behaviour team during the whole process and for however long it may take to help you and Teddy settle, we are there.
